Description

A healthier, faster version of hibachi made in the air fryer! With tender chicken, crispy vegetables, and a savory soy-ginger sauce, this recipe delivers restaurant-quality hibachi at home. Perfect for quick weeknight dinners or meal prep.

Ingredients

Hibachi:

  • Chicken breast (cubed)

  • Zucchini (sliced)

  • Squash (sliced)

  • Carrot (sliced)

  • Broccoli (cut into florets)

Sauce:

  • Soy sauce

  • Sesame oil

  • Rice vinegar

  • Garlic (minced)

  • Ground ginger

  • Sesame seeds

  • Brown sugar (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F and preheat for 3–5 minutes.

  • Prepare Chicken and Veggies: In a large bowl, toss cubed chicken and vegetables (zucchini, squash, carrot, and broccoli) together.

  • Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic, ground ginger, sesame seeds, and brown sugar (if using).

  • Coat the Chicken and Veggies: Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetables. Mix well to evenly coat.

  • Air Fry: Place the chicken and vegetable mixture into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 400°F for 10–12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Ensure the chicken is cooked through and veggies are lightly charred but tender.

  • Serve: Serve hot with a drizzle of extra sauce or sesame seeds, and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for 15–30 minutes before cooking.

  • Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.

  • You can add extra vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for variety.

  • Serve over rice, noodles, or cauliflower rice for a low-carb option.
