Description

A festive, no-bake dessert featuring a soft sugar cookie crust topped with a creamy vanilla cream cheese layer, whipped topping, and fresh strawberries and blueberries arranged to mimic the American flag. A perfect patriotic treat for celebrations.

  • 1 (16.5 oz) package sugar cookie dough

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • 8 oz Cool Whip topping, thawed

  • 3 to 4 cups fresh sliced fruit (strawberries and blueberries)

  • ½ cup apple jelly or apricot preserves


Instructions

  • Preheat oven according to sugar cookie dough package directions.

  • Press cookie dough evenly onto a greased or parchment-lined large pizza pan or baking sheet to form a 12-inch circle.

  • Bake cookie crust as directed on package until golden and set. Allow to cool completely.

  • In a medium bowl, beat softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.

  • Fold in the Cool Whip until combined and fluffy.

  • Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over cooled cookie crust.

  • Arrange strawberries and blueberries on top to resemble the American flag (blueberry “canton” in upper left corner, strawberries forming the stripes).

  • Warm apple jelly or apricot preserves slightly (microwave for 15 seconds), then brush gently over the fruit to glaze and add shine.

  • Chill in refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving to set.
