8 oz Cool Whip topping, thawed

3 to 4 cups fresh sliced fruit (strawberries and blueberries)

½ cup apple jelly or apricot preserves
Instructions

Preheat oven according to sugar cookie dough package directions.

Press cookie dough evenly onto a greased or parchment-lined large pizza pan or baking sheet to form a 12-inch circle.

Bake cookie crust as directed on package until golden and set. Allow to cool completely.

In a medium bowl, beat softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.

Fold in the Cool Whip until combined and fluffy.

Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over cooled cookie crust.

Arrange strawberries and blueberries on top to resemble the American flag (blueberry “canton” in upper left corner, strawberries forming the stripes).

Warm apple jelly or apricot preserves slightly (microwave for 15 seconds), then brush gently over the fruit to glaze and add shine.
