Ingredients
Cajun Seasoning:
-
1–2 teaspoons chili powder
-
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
-
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
-
2 teaspoons salt
-
2 teaspoons garlic powder
-
1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
-
1 teaspoon dried oregano
-
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
-
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
-
1 teaspoon brown sugar
Steak Bites:
-
1 1/2 pounds steak, cut into 2-inch cubes
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
4 tablespoons butter
-
1 tablespoon minced garlic
-
1 tablespoon finely minced parsley
Instructions
-
In a small bowl, combine all Cajun seasoning ingredients and mix well.
-
Toss the steak cubes with the Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.
-
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak bites in a single layer (cook in batches if needed) and sear until browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare to medium. Remove steak and set aside.
-
Reduce heat to medium, add butter to the skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
-
Return steak bites to the skillet and toss in the garlic butter sauce to coat evenly.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle with minced parsley, and serve immediately.
Notes
Use a tender cut like sirloin or ribeye for best results. Adjust cayenne pepper to control spice level. These steak bites pair well with mashed potatoes, rice, or a fresh salad.
