Description

Caramel Cheesecake Nutella Brownies are a decadent, layered treat featuring fudgy cocoa brownies topped with creamy cheesecake swirled with rich Nutella. These brownies combine the best of chocolate, cheesecake, and hazelnut flavors into a luscious dessert that’s perfect for special occasions or satisfying any sweet tooth.

Brownie Mixture:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • ⅓ cup Dutch-processed cocoa powder, unsweetened

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • Pinch of salt

Cheesecake Mixture:

  • 1 package (8 oz / 250 g) cream cheese, softened

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 egg yolk

  • 1 cup Nutella (½ cup for making dollops to freeze, ½ cup for topping)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

  • In a large bowl, combine sugar, melted butter, and cocoa powder until smooth.

  • Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.

  • Stir in flour and salt until just combined. Set brownie batter aside.

  • In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and egg yolk until smooth.

  • Gently fold in ½ cup of Nutella into the cheesecake mixture until swirled.

  • Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.

  • Dollop spoonfuls of the cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer. Freeze ½ cup Nutella in small dollops on parchment separately (optional step for later use).

  • Pour remaining brownie batter over the cheesecake dollops.

  • Using a knife or skewer, swirl the layers gently to create a marbled effect.

  • Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs.

  • Remove from oven and immediately drop dollops of frozen Nutella on top, allowing them to melt slightly, then gently swirl into the top layer.

  • Cool completely before slicing.

Notes

  • For an extra Nutella punch, freeze dollops of Nutella before baking as described to swirl in after baking.

  • Use room temperature cream cheese for smooth cheesecake mixture.

  • Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerated up to a week.
