Description

This creamy Crab Casserole blends tender imitation crab meat with a rich mixture of cheeses, mayo, and spices. It’s a comforting, flavorful dish perfect served over steamed rice or pasta, ideal for an easy weeknight dinner or special occasion.

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened

  • ⅓ cup mayonnaise

  • ¼ cup sour cream

  • 3 green onions, chopped

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon mustard powder

  • ½ teaspoon Old Bay seasoning

  • 14 ounces imitation crab meat, flake style (Trans-Ocean Crab Classic recommended)

  • ½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded

  • 1 tablespoon chives, finely chopped

  • Steamed rice or pasta, for serving


Instructions

  • Preheat Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a casserole dish.

  • Mix Base:
    In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Mix until smooth.

  • Add Flavorings:
    Stir in minced onion, green pepper, green onions, garlic powder, mustard powder, and Old Bay seasoning.

  • Add Crab and Cheese:
    Fold in imitation crab meat, Swiss cheese, cheddar cheese, and chives. Mix gently to combine all ingredients.

  • Bake:
    Transfer the mixture to the prepared casserole dish. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until bubbly and slightly golden on top.

  • Serve:
    Serve warm over steamed rice or pasta of your choice.

Notes

  • Substitute real crab meat if desired, adjusting seasoning accordingly.

  • You can add breadcrumbs on top before baking for extra crunch.
