Description

A creamy, cheesy baked pasta dish loaded with tender chicken, buttery noodles, and a rich, savory sauce. This comforting casserole is simple to make and always a crowd-pleaser.


Ingredients

  • 1 (16-ounce) package linguine, or fettuccine or spaghetti

  • 4 chicken breasts, cooked and diced

  • 2 (10.5-ounce) cans cream of chicken soup

  • 2 cups sour cream

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt with parsley flakes

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  • In a large bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, softened butter, chicken broth, garlic salt, and pepper until well combined.

  • Add cooked pasta and diced chicken to the sauce mixture. Toss until everything is evenly coated.

  • Transfer to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.

  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the top, followed by Parmesan cheese.

  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

  • Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

  • Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

  • You can prepare this dish ahead and refrigerate before baking.

  • Add cooked mushrooms or peas for variation.

  • To freeze, assemble the casserole, cover tightly, and freeze before baking.
