Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika (if using), salt, and black pepper.
- Sear the chicken breasts for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
- Reduce the heat to low and add the softened cream cheese to the skillet. Stir it until it starts to melt and become creamy.
- Gradually whisk in the chicken broth to create a smooth sauce.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the chicken. Cover the skillet and cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked and has reached an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve.
Notes
- You can add vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers to the sauce for extra flavor and nutrition.
- For a thicker sauce, add a little more Parmesan cheese or reduce the sauce slightly.
