Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar (optional, for sweetness)
Instructions
- Prepare the Strawberries:
- Hull and wash the fresh strawberries, setting them aside for dipping later.
- Heat the Cream:
- In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it starts to steam, but do not bring it to a boil.
- Melt the Chocolate:
- Reduce the heat to low and add the white chocolate chips to the saucepan. Stir continuously until the white chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
- Add Flavor:
- Stir in the vanilla extract and powdered sugar (if using) to sweeten the mixture.
- Serve:
- Once the fondue is smooth and creamy, pour it into a fondue pot or a heatproof bowl for serving.
- Arrange fresh strawberries and any other dippable treats (such as marshmallows, pretzels, or cake cubes) around the fondue for dipping.
Notes
- You can adjust the sweetness of the fondue by adding more or less powdered sugar, depending on your preference.
- If the fondue thickens too much as it cools, gently reheat it with a little more cream until it reaches your desired consistency.
- You can also try this fondue with other fruits like bananas, apples, or pineapple, or serve it with cookies or brownies for dipping.
