Description

These Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches are a sweet, indulgent treat with a creamy cheesecake filling, fresh strawberries, and a crispy, cinnamon-sugar coating. A fun and delicious twist on a classic dessert, perfect for an afternoon snack or a special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Cheesecake Filling:

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Sandwiches:

  • 8 slices bread (white or brioche)

  • 4 large strawberries, sliced

For the Coating:

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 2 large eggs, beaten

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)

  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

For Dusting:

  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cheesecake Filling:
In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

  • Assemble the Sandwiches:
Spread a generous amount of cheesecake filling on four slices of bread. Top with sliced strawberries, then cover with the remaining bread slices to form sandwiches.

  • Prepare the Coating:
In a shallow bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, and salt. In another shallow bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. Place granulated sugar in a third shallow bowl.

  • Coat the Sandwiches:
Dip each sandwich into the flour mixture, ensuring both sides are coated. Then dip into the egg mixture, followed by a coating of granulated sugar.

  • Fry the Sandwiches:
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the sandwiches in the skillet and fry until golden brown on both sides, about 2–3 minutes per side.

  • Serve:
Remove sandwiches from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, drizzle with chocolate or caramel sauce.

  • Brioche bread adds a rich, buttery flavor, but white bread works just as well.

  • These sandwiches are best served fresh and warm.
