Description

These Garlic Butter Steak Bites are a perfect, quick, and flavorful meal or appetizer. Tender, juicy steak pieces are seared and cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce, with the perfect blend of seasonings and fresh herbs. They are savory, slightly spicy, and full of mouthwatering flavors that will leave you craving more.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ pounds steak (ribeye, sirloin, or filet mignon), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium shallot, finely diced (about ¼ cup)
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup finely chopped fresh parsley (or other fresh tender herbs like oregano or thyme)

Instructions

  • Season the steak pieces with kosher salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes, tossing to coat evenly.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Once the skillet is hot, add the steak pieces in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
  • Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set them aside.
  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium, then add the butter. Let it melt, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  • Add the diced shallot to the skillet and sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Return the steak bites to the skillet, stirring to coat the steak in the garlic butter sauce.
  • Stir in the chopped parsley (or other fresh herbs) and cook for another minute, allowing the steak to absorb the flavors.
  • Serve the garlic butter steak bites hot, with your favorite side dishes, or as a delicious appetizer.

Notes

  • For a more intense garlic flavor, you can add extra minced garlic or even garlic powder.
  • If you prefer your steak bites cooked to a specific level of doneness, use a meat thermometer. For medium-rare, cook to an internal temperature of 130-135°F (54-57°C).
  • These steak bites are perfect on their own, but you can serve them with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
