Description

Garlic Parmesan Chicken Legs are juicy, tender drumsticks coated in a rich garlic butter sauce and topped with savory Parmesan cheese. Simple to make and packed with flavor, this easy chicken recipe is perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 chicken drumsticks

  • ¼ cup butter, melted

  • 3 cloves garlic (about 1 tablespoon), minced

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (divided)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  • Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce:
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.

  • Coat the Chicken:
Place the chicken drumsticks on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each drumstick generously with the garlic butter mixture, ensuring each piece is well-coated.

  • Add Parmesan:
Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese over the chicken drumsticks, making sure they are evenly covered.

  • Bake the Chicken:
Bake the drumsticks in the preheated oven for 35–40 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the chicken is golden brown and crispy.

  • Finish and Serve:
Remove the chicken from the oven and sprinkle the remaining 1 tablespoon of Parmesan cheese on top of each drumstick. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, you can broil the chicken for 1–2 minutes at the end of baking.

  • You can substitute chicken thighs for drumsticks if preferred.

  • Serve with your favorite side dishes such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
