It’s the ideal treat for chocolate lovers, with a moist, fudgy interior and a drizzle of extra hot fudge sauce for added sweetness. Whether for dessert or a special breakfast, this sweet bread is sure to satisfy your chocolate cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce (plus extra for drizzling)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

  • Mix Dry Ingredients:

    • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  • Combine Wet Ingredients:

    • In a separate large bowl, whisk the eggs and granulated sugar together until smooth. Stir in the melted butter and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.

  • Add the Fudge Sauce:

    • Stir in the hot fudge sauce into the wet mixture until smooth and fully incorporated.

  • Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

    • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. The batter will be thick.

  • Bake the Bread:

    • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.

    • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs. The top should be slightly cracked.

  • Cool and Drizzle:

    • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

    • Drizzle with extra hot fudge sauce before serving for an extra layer of deliciousness.

Notes

  • For a richer taste, you can substitute the hot fudge sauce with melted chocolate or add chocolate chips to the batter.

  • If you prefer a sweeter loaf, increase the sugar by 2 tablespoons.

  • You can store the leftover bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate it for longer freshness.
