Description

This savory meatloaf is made with a combination of lean ground beef and pork, flavored with Lipton Onion Soup Mix for an extra boost of flavor. Topped with a tangy homemade glaze, this meatloaf is juicy, tender, and full of comforting flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef

  • 1 lb ground pork

  • 1 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix

  • 2 large eggs, beaten

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

  • 3/4 cup milk

  • 1/3 cup ketchup

  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 cup chopped yellow onions

  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

For the Meatloaf Glaze

  • 3/4 cup ketchup

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons white vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, Lipton Onion Soup Mix, eggs, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, chopped yellow onions, and black pepper. Mix until fully combined.

  • Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a lightly greased baking dish or a lined loaf pan.

  • In a small bowl, mix together all the ingredients for the glaze (ketchup, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper).

  • Spread half of the glaze mixture over the top of the meatloaf.

  • Bake for 1 hour, or until the meatloaf is cooked through.

  • In the last 10 minutes of baking, spread the remaining glaze over the meatloaf.

  • Once done, remove from the oven and let the meatloaf rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, use a combination of beef broth and Worcestershire sauce in the glaze.

  • You can substitute the breadcrumbs with crushed crackers for a slightly different texture.

  • Leftover meatloaf is great for sandwiches the next day.
