1 teaspoon ground black pepper
For the Meatloaf Glaze
-
3/4 cup ketchup
-
1 1/2 teaspoons white vinegar
-
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
-
2 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
-
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
-
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, Lipton Onion Soup Mix, eggs, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, chopped yellow onions, and black pepper. Mix until fully combined.
-
Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a lightly greased baking dish or a lined loaf pan.
-
In a small bowl, mix together all the ingredients for the glaze (ketchup, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper).
-
Spread half of the glaze mixture over the top of the meatloaf.
-
Bake for 1 hour, or until the meatloaf is cooked through.
-
In the last 10 minutes of baking, spread the remaining glaze over the meatloaf.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let the meatloaf rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
-
For extra flavor, use a combination of beef broth and Worcestershire sauce in the glaze.
-
You can substitute the breadcrumbs with crushed crackers for a slightly different texture.
- Leftover meatloaf is great for sandwiches the next day.
