With a simple list of ingredients and an easy-to-follow method, these Oreo Brownies are sure to become a family favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cut into 1/2-inch cubes)

  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (divided use)

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 24 Oreo cookies

  • Cooking spray (for greasing the pan)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.

  • Melt the Butter and Chocolate:

    • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and 1 1/2 cups of the semisweet chocolate chips over medium heat. Stir occasionally until smooth and combined. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

  • Mix the Wet Ingredients:

    • Whisk the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract into the melted chocolate mixture. Stir until well combined.

  • Add Dry Ingredients:

    • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  • Prepare the Pan:

    • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.

  • Add the Oreo Cookies:

    • Press the 24 Oreo cookies into the brownie batter, arranging them evenly across the top. You can gently press them into the batter or leave them partially on top for a more decorative look.

  • Bake the Brownies:

    • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs. The brownies should be soft and fudgy in the center.

  • Cool and Serve:

    • Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Once cool, slice into squares and serve.

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftover Oreo Brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days, or refrigerate them for up to a week.

  • Customize: You can add more chocolate chips or crushed Oreos on top for an extra chocolatey or crunchy treat.

  • Oven Times May Vary: Keep an eye on the brownies, as oven temperatures can vary. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center and looking for moist crumbs.
