Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar

  • ½ cup butter (room temperature)

  • 2 tablespoons milk

  • ½ cup smooth peanut butter

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla flavoring

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and peanut butter together until smooth and creamy.

  • Gradually add in the confectioners sugar, 1/4 cup at a time, and mix until combined.

  • Add the milk and vanilla flavoring, and continue to beat until smooth and fluffy.

  • If the frosting is too thick, add a little more milk, 1 teaspoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.

  • Spread the frosting on your cooled cake or cupcakes, and enjoy!

Notes

  • If you’d like a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness.

  • This frosting pairs wonderfully with chocolate cakes or cookies, as well as banana or carrot cakes.

  • The frosting can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week. If it hardens, let it come to room temperature before using.
