- 1 yellow cake mix (15.25 oz) (or white cake mix)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup butter, melted

- Pour the crushed pineapple, including the juice, into the bottom of the prepared dish and spread it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the pineapple.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top of the cake mix.
- Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the entire cake mix.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.

Notes
- You can substitute the yellow cake mix for a white cake mix if you prefer a lighter color in the cake.
- If you like extra sweetness, you can add a bit of cinnamon or nutmeg to the cake mix before baking.
- This dessert is best served warm, but it can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
