Description

This easy Pineapple Dump Cake is a sweet, tropical dessert made with crushed pineapple, cake mix, and butter. The buttery top layer forms a crisp, golden crust while the pineapple keeps the filling moist and flavorful. It’s a perfect, fuss-free treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (20 oz each) crushed pineapple
  • 1 yellow cake mix (15.25 oz) (or white cake mix)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Pour the crushed pineapple, including the juice, into the bottom of the prepared dish and spread it out evenly.
  • Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the pineapple.
  • Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top of the cake mix.
  • Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the entire cake mix.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.
  • Let the cobbler cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.

Notes

  • You can substitute the yellow cake mix for a white cake mix if you prefer a lighter color in the cake.
  • If you like extra sweetness, you can add a bit of cinnamon or nutmeg to the cake mix before baking.
  • This dessert is best served warm, but it can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
