Description

The Sausage and Everything Bagel Breakfast Sandwich is a perfect blend of savory sausage, fluffy eggs, and melty cheese, all nestled inside a flavorful everything bagel. Ideal for busy mornings or weekend breakfasts, this hearty sandwich combines rich, bold flavors with satisfying textures. Easy to make and highly customizable, it’s sure to become a breakfast favorite for your family.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 everything bagels

  • 10 sweet sausage links

  • 10 large, medium, or jumbo eggs

  • 1020 slices yellow cheddar cheese (1 or 2 slices per sandwich)

Instructions

  • Cook the Sausage:

    • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the sausage links, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides and fully cooked (8-10 minutes). Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  • Cook the Eggs:

    • In the same skillet, crack one egg at a time and cook to your desired doneness (fried, scrambled, or poached). For a sunny-side-up egg, cook until the whites are set but the yolk is still runny. For scrambled eggs, whisk eggs with salt and pepper, and cook in the skillet until light and fluffy.

  • Toast the Bagels:

    • Slice the everything bagels in half and toast them until golden brown. You can toast them in a toaster, oven, or on a griddle for extra crispiness.

  • Assemble the Sandwiches:

    • Place one sausage link on the bottom half of each toasted bagel. Top with a cooked egg and one or two slices of cheddar cheese. Close the sandwich with the top half of the bagel.

  • Serve and Enjoy:

    • Serve warm, and pair with fresh fruit, hash browns, or a cup of coffee for a complete meal.

Notes

  • For a spicier sandwich, add jalapeños, hot sauce, or spicy sausage.

  • You can substitute the cheddar cheese for Swiss, mozzarella, or pepper jack cheese.

  • For a lighter version, try using turkey sausage or a veggie sausage alternative.
