Description

These Strawberry Kiss Cookies are a sweet and festive treat that combines soft, strawberry-flavored cookies with the irresistible addition of chocolate kiss candies. The perfect cookie for holiday gatherings or any special occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg, at room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract (optional)
  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 package (3 oz) strawberry-flavored gelatin mix
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar, for dusting
  • 2430 chocolate kiss candies, unwrapped

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Prepare the cookie dough: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract (if using), and mix until fully combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and strawberry-flavored gelatin mix.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until the dough comes together.
  • Shape the cookies: Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are lightly golden.
  • Add the chocolate kisses: Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie while they are still warm.
  • Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Once the cookies are cool, dust with powdered sugar for a finishing touch.

Notes

  • If you want a stronger strawberry flavor, you can increase the amount of strawberry gelatin mix slightly.
  • Be sure to let the cookies cool before dusting with powdered sugar to avoid melting it.
  • These cookies store well in an airtight container for up to a week.
