Description

These Taco Ranch Bites are a perfect blend of savory taco meat, creamy ranch dressing, and sharp cheddar cheese, all served in a crispy phyllo shell. They’re easy to make and great for parties, appetizers, or a fun family snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (preferably lean)
  • 1 oz packet taco seasoning (premium brand)
  • 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes and green chiles, undrained
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (preferably aged for a richer flavor)
  • 8 oz bottle premium ranch dressing
  • 5 packs of 15-count frozen phyllo tart shells

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven
    • Set your oven to 350ºF (175ºC).
  • Cook the Beef
    • In a skillet, brown the ground beef until fully cooked and no longer pink.
    • Drain any excess fat from the beef.
  • Add Seasoning
    • Stir in the taco seasoning.
    • Add the can of diced tomatoes and green chiles (undrained).
    • Mix well and simmer for 5 minutes before removing from heat.
  • Prepare the Mixture
    • In a separate bowl, mix together the shredded cheddar cheese and ranch dressing.
    • Combine this mixture with the cooked taco meat.
  • Assemble the Tarts
    • Carefully spoon the taco meat mixture into the frozen phyllo tart shells.
    • If you plan to freeze them for later, now is the time to do so.
  • Bake
    • Place the filled tarts in the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes.
    • If baking from frozen, add an extra 2-3 minutes to the bake time to ensure they heat through properly.

Notes

  • These taco bites can be frozen for future use, making them a great make-ahead snack or appetizer.
  • You can add toppings like sour cream, salsa, or chopped cilantro after baking for extra flavor.
