Description

TikTok Spaghetti is a viral, indulgent recipe that combines a flavorful homemade red sauce with perfectly cooked spaghetti, topped with a creamy Alfredo sauce and two types of cheese. This hearty dish is a crowd-pleaser for family dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale

Red Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • ½ cup green bell pepper, ribs and seeds removed, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • ¾ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 ½ (24-ounce) jars spaghetti sauce

Pasta:

  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 16 ounces spaghetti

Alfredo Sauce:

  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 ½ cups parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • Prepare the Red Sauce:

    • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and green bell pepper, and sauté until softened (about 5 minutes).
    • Add the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds, then add the ground beef. Cook the beef until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks.
    • Stir in the salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning, then add the spaghetti sauce. Let the sauce simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, while you prepare the pasta and Alfredo sauce.
  • Cook the Pasta:

    • Bring a large pot of water to a boil, adding 1 tablespoon of salt. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  • Make the Alfredo Sauce:

    • In a separate saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
    • Stir in the flour and cook for another minute to form a roux.
    • Slowly whisk in the heavy cream, bringing it to a simmer. Once it starts to thicken, add the parmesan and mozzarella cheeses, stirring until melted and smooth.

  • Assemble the Dish:

    • In a large serving dish, layer the cooked spaghetti, then pour the red sauce over the pasta.
    • Drizzle the Alfredo sauce over the top and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the red sauce.
  • You can use ground turkey or chicken as a leaner alternative to beef.
  • If you prefer a thicker Alfredo sauce, reduce the amount of cream slightly or cook it a little longer to thicken.
