Description

This sweet and salty Valentine’s Day Cracker Candy is an irresistible treat, featuring a buttery caramel base topped with white chocolate, pink candy melts, and colorful M&Ms. Perfect for sharing with loved ones on the sweetest day of the year!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 40 Saltine Crackers
  • 1 cup salted butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pink candy melts
  • 1 cup red and pink M&Ms
  • Valentine’s sprinkles (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Arrange the Saltine crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet, covering the surface completely.
  • Make the Caramel: In a saucepan, melt the salted butter over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar and bring the mixture to a boil. Let it boil for 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly. The mixture should thicken and become bubbly.
  • Pour the Caramel: Carefully pour the hot caramel sauce evenly over the crackers, making sure to cover them completely. Use a spatula to gently spread the caramel if needed.
  • Bake: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the caramel is bubbly and has started to settle into the crackers. Remove from the oven and set aside.
  • Melt the Chocolate: While the crackers are baking, melt the white chocolate chips and pink candy melts. You can do this in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.
  • Top the Cracker Candy: Immediately after removing the crackers from the oven, pour the melted white chocolate and pink candy melts over the caramel-covered crackers. Use a spatula to spread the melted chocolate evenly over the entire surface.
  • Add the Toppings: While the chocolate is still soft, sprinkle the M&Ms, Valentine’s sprinkles, and any other festive decorations over the top.
  • Cool and Set: Allow the cracker candy to cool completely at room temperature, or place it in the refrigerator for faster cooling (about 20-30 minutes). Once the candy is set, break it into pieces.
  • Serve: Enjoy the delicious Valentine’s Day Cracker Candy! Store any leftovers in an airtight container.

Notes

  • If you prefer a thicker chocolate coating, you can add more white chocolate chips and candy melts.
  • You can substitute the pink candy melts for red or white depending on your color preference.
  • For a fun twist, feel free to add other toppings like crushed pretzels, mini marshmallows, or nuts.
