Ingredients

Scale

For the Mix:

  • 4 cups Rice Chex cereal

  • 4 cups Corn Chex cereal

  • 3 cups Wheat Chex cereal

  • 3 cups pretzels

  • 4 cups salted cashews (1620 oz)

For the Hot Honey Butter Sauce:

  • 1 cup salted butter

  • 2/3 cup hot honey (adjust based on spice preference)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the Rice Chex, Corn Chex, Wheat Chex, pretzels, and salted cashews. Set aside.

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the hot honey and cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce is smooth and slightly bubbling.

  • Pour the hot honey butter sauce over the Chex mix, tossing to coat evenly.

  • Spread the mixture onto a large baking sheet in an even layer.

  • Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even coating.

  • Once done, remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.

Notes

  • Use store-bought hot honey or make your own by mixing honey with your favorite hot sauce.

  • Feel free to substitute cashews with other nuts like almonds or peanuts.

  • This mix can be made ahead of time for parties or snacks throughout the week.
